Brad Phillips at NO 70.3

14th in the tough 35-39 AG, Brad Phillips finished the New Orleans 70.3 course in 4:42:49.  Brad swam 35:57, biked 2:26:46, and ran 1:35:33.  This is a great performance given that Brad couldn't run 2 weeks ago due to being hit in the leg by a hockey puck.  Brad is a professional hockey referee who recently refereed his 1000th game.

3 PRs at Rock the Parkway 1/2 Marathon

Megan Weldon, Brad Twigg, and Stephanie Twigg all set PRs today at the Rock the Parkway 1/2 marathon in Kansas City, MO. 

Megan ran 1:36:54 to place 7th out of 574 women in the 35-39 age group.  

Brad ran 1:32:22 to place 20th out of 252 men in the 25-29 age group.  Brad competed in Oceanside 70.3 2 weeks ago.

Stephanie ran 2:21:08 to place 370th out of 534 women in the 25-29 age group.  Stephanie's goal was to finish happy, and it she did it! 

Nice job to these three athletes!

Jenny Clark PRs at 10k!

4th overall female 18th overall.  Jenny Clark ran a 47:20 10k PR today at Jay Dix.  Great Job Jenny!!!

Kevin Nickel: 12th overall amateur at 70.3 Texas

Kevin started 2013 off very nicely with a 4:14:19 at Texas 70.3.  Kevin swam 31:10, biked 2:16:13 (24.62 mph), and ran 1:22:33 (6:18/mile).  He finished 2rd in the 30-34 age group, 12th overall amateur, and 36th overall (including pros). 

Robin Trotman at 70.3 Texas

Robin placed 42nd out of 347 men in the highly competitive 40-44 age group.  Robin swam 34:44, biked 2:38:02, and ran 1:41:45 to finish in 5:01:20.  Nice start to the 2013 season for Robin!

Ann Halenkamp: PR at GO!

Ann won her age group by 4 minutes by running a 1:50:13 at the GO! St. Louis half marathon.  She narrowly missed breaking 1:50, but still set a PR.  Looks like Ann's season is off to a great start!!!

ECo at MaxTrax

3 Eco athletes tackled the Shakespeare's Pizza MaxTrax Duathlon in Columbia, MO. 

Jenny Clark won the 50-54 age group and placed 4th overall female in 1:25:07 with a 10:35 (7:05/mile) run, a 47:31 (18.4 mph) bike, and a 24:25 (8:09/mile) second run. 

Fernando Perez placed 4th in the 45-49 age group in 1:32:44 with a 11:00 (7:20/mile) run, a 52:23 (17.2 mph) bike, and a 27:34 (9:12/mile) second run. 

Ebby Varghese placed 9th in the 35-39 age group in 1:38:50 with a 12:16 (8:11/mile) run, a 56:32 (15.9 mph) bike, and a 28:17 (9:26/mile) second run. 

Brad Twigg at Oceanside 70.3

Brad set a PR at the Ironman 70.3 California in Oceanside.  He swam 36:34, biked 2:49, and ran 1:53 to finish in 5:26:30.  He placed 36th out of 177 in the 25-29 age group.  Great start to 2013 Brad!!

Jenny Clark wins age group!

Jenny won the 45-49 age group in 1:49:06 at the Sedalia half marathon.

Brad Phillips: 1000th game!!!

Congratulations to Brad Phillips. Not only is he a hard working triathlete, he is a hard working hockey referee! He just refereed his 1000th game!!! Not too many people have done that. Here is an interview with Brad during his 1000th game. Oh, he has a 70.3 coming up in a couple of weeks too.
