Joe Company, PhD founded ECo in 2010, but prior to this he coached at the high school and collegiate level, worked with Olympic training programs, and worked with a number of high-performance athletes, scientists, researchers, and coaches.  Joe began consulting endurance athletes in 2002, but as he evolved in his education and experience, he wanted to make his expertise available to more people.  ECo is the product of Joe's experience.

Chris Smith PRs at Little Rock 1/2 marathon

Congratulations to ECo athlete Chris Smith for his PR of 2:17:40 at the Little Rock 1/2 marathon!

Aleta Jokisch 8th overall at RnR AZ

Congratulations to Aleta Jokisch placed 8th overall elite female at the Rock n Roll Arizona 1/2 marathon in a time of 1:20:15.  Aleta has raced on the elite road circuit for about 1 year, with consistent top-10 finishes in highly-competitive races. She is on the verge of breaking through to the next level. Stay tuned!!


ECo had 2 first-time Ironman finishers crowned in Tempe! Larry Archer and Paula Rawlings are now Ironmen!!!

Jenny Clark finished 18th in the 50-54 age group with a 1:19:14 swim, a 5:39:38 bike (3rd fastest in her age group!), and a 5:48:34 run. 

Larry Archer finished in 14:07 with a 1:34:58 swim, a 7:11:23 bike, and  5:06:58 run.

Paula Rawlings finished in 15:13:02 with a 1:21:34 swim, a 7:36:51 bike, and  5:54:43 run.

Matt Davidson - 3rd overall

Matt placed 3rd place overall in the River Roux 1/2 iron distance triathlon. Matt finished in 4:51:18 with a 33:17 swim, a 2:40:22 bike, and a 1:29:56 run. Cold day for Matt too - water temp was 60 and air temp was 38 at the start! Yikes!! Great job Matt!!

Ann wins AG and sets PR in Florida!

Ann Halenkamp continues to dominate! She set a 70.3 PR of 5:31:16 and placed 1st in the 55-59 age group and 15th overall female at the Rev3 Florida 1/2 ironman

Aleta Jokisch: 1:20:10 1/2 mary!

Congratulations to Aleta Jokisch who set a PR of 1:20:10 and placed 6th overall (1st American) at the St. Louis Track Club Half Marathon. She had a great race, but the best part is... she can (and will) go faster!!!

Ann and Carrie at RnR St. Louis

Ann Halenkamp set a PR of 1:48:38, which placed her 4thout of 174 in the 55-59 age group.  Way to set a PR as a 57-year old!

Carrie Kimber ran 2:05:55 for 66th out of 356 in the 45-49 age group. 

Roger Endicott at Silverman 70.3

Roger finished a TOUGH Silverman course (Henderson, Nevada) in 6:32:58 and finished 22nd in the 55-59 age group.  Roger swam 44:18, biked 3:44:52 and ran 1:52:32.  Roger's run was the 5th fastest in his age group.  Great job Roger.

ECo at Boarder Wars Tri

Jenny Clark, Paula Rawlings, and Karen Reider survived a cold Boarder Wars 1/2 Iron-Distance triathlon in Alton, IL. 

Jenny won the 50-54 age group in 5:44:40 (37:23 swim, 2:36 bike, and 2:15:30 run).

Paula placed 5th in the 50-54 age group in 6:14:49 (39:01 swim, 3:14:53 bike, and 2:08:54 run)

Karen placed 14th in the 50-54 age group in 8:20:46 (1:06 swim, 3:36:04 bike, and 3:23:29 run)

Aleta Jokisch: 2nd in 8k

Aleta led the first half of the female race at the Jim Click 8k in Tuscon, AZ. She ended up taking 2nd in the elite women's field.  Great race Aleta!!!
