Joe Company, PhD founded ECo in 2010, but prior to this he coached at the high school and collegiate level, worked with Olympic training programs, and worked with a number of high-performance athletes, scientists, researchers, and coaches.  Joe began consulting endurance athletes in 2002, but as he evolved in his education and experience, he wanted to make his expertise available to more people.  ECo is the product of Joe's experience.

In addition to custom training plans, we offer laboratory bike and run VO2max and lactate testing as well as 'field testing' for bike power. These tests allow unparalleled optimization of your training plan.

Big weekend for Gwenna Peters

Saturday, Gwenna ran a 1:59 1/2 marathon to place 2nd in the 50-59 age group and 9th overall female at the Big Sky State Games 1/2 marathon in Montana. Then, the next day, she participated in two 4x400 relays anad ran 1:40 and 1:35! Great job Gwenna!

 

Overall win at New Town!

Joe Company won the overall title at the New Town Triathlon. It's been a while since he raced; his time of 1:29:30 was 5 minutes slower than his winning time from 2010, but it was still good enough for the win today. Joe said, "Now, any time I can line up for a race, it is a gift. I'm just happy to still be able to do this sport and still find enjoyment in it."

 

Two AG wins at Lakeside Tri

Congrats to KELLY RUITER who won the 30-34 age group win and RICK LINDQUIST who won the 35-39 age group at the Lakeside Triathlon in Decatur, IL.GREAT JOB!!

 

Podiums at Quartermax!

Age group wins and podiums were plentiful at Quartermax (1000y swim, 26 mile bike, 6.5 mile run).

Casey Schnack won the 30-34 age group with the second-fastest overall female swim!

 

Ann Halenkamp won the 60-64 age group in 2:54:30

Success at Octomax!

Three ECo athletes competed at the Octomax tri (500y swim, 18 mile bike, 3.4 mile run).

Carrie Kass finished 3rd in the 45-49 age group with the second fastest overall female swim.

 

Joe Company won the overall men's title with the fastest T1, bike, and T2 times.

Colleen Parsons Mt. Tremblant 70.3

Colleen swam 36:21, biked 3:21:09, and ran 2:35:48 for a 6:40 finish time in the tough Mt. Tremblant 70.3. 

Aleta Jokisch: 2:46 in maraton debut!

Outstanding performance today from Aleta Jokisch at Grandma's Marathon! Aleta finished her first marathon ever with a blazing time of 2:46.34!! Her performance showed passion, courage and determination. Nice job Aleta!

Rebecca Franks: 2nd at Rail Splitter Tri!

Rebecca swam 32:05, biked 1:06:42, and ran 57:28 to finish 2nd in the 45-49 AG at the Rail Splitter Tri in Springfield, IL.

Great day at Tri Shark!

Team Endurance Company women had a great day at Tri Shark Triathlon (600y swim, 13mi bike, 5k run) with four Top 20 finishes!

Colleen Parsons (Columbia, MO) was 1st in the Athena division (1:20:09 total time with a 9:56 swim, 40:46 bike, 26:46 run)

Jeanne Bishop (Twin Lakes, WI) was 2nd in the 40-44 Age Group (1:20:42 total time with a 10:42 swim, 39:56 bike, 26:29 run)

Carrie Kass (Bloomington, IL) was 3rd in the 45-49 Age Group (1:21:28 total time with a 9:01 swim, 39:53 bike, 29:06 run)

Congratulations to the ECo athletes who raced TriZou in Columbia, MO this past weekend:

Martin Meyer WON the 50-54 age group in 1:09:26

Casey Schnach-Schild WON the 30-34 age group (and was 10th overall female) in 1:16:17

Kayla O'Toole placed 2nd in the Athena division in 1:32:42

Todd Barclay placed 6th in the Clydesdale division in 1:29:12

Karen Reider placed 24th in the 50-54 division in 1:52:51
