Joe Company, PhD founded ECo in 2010, but prior to this he coached at the high school and collegiate level, worked with Olympic training programs, and worked with a number of high-performance athletes, scientists, researchers, and coaches.  Joe began consulting endurance athletes in 2002, but as he evolved in his education and experience, he wanted to make his expertise available to more people.  ECo is the product of Joe's experience.

Ryan Lundin sets 5k PR!

Congrats to Ryan, who placed 2nd overall in 18:23 at the Purple 5k in Billings, Montana.  Same course as last year and Ryan ran over 1 minute faster!

2016 race season is underway!

ECo athletes had a good day racing yesterday. Roger Endicott hammered the Honduran 10k placing 2nd in his age group. Rachel represented the new ECo youth and junior program well by placing 1st in the 14 and under at the Run for Hope 5k. This also placed Rachel 4th overall female. Way to go ECo!!

 

Liz PRs and wins 5k!

Congrats to Liz Bierbaum. She won the Bloomington St. Pats 5k in a PR 20:38.

Brendan Quinn set the course record in the wheel chair division in 19:19.

Celeste Whitmar won the 35-39 age group in 21:54.

Aleta Jokisch runs 2:45:46 at CIM

Congratulations Aleta on your 2:45:46 marathon at the California International Marathon. This was Aleta's 2nd career marathon. (She went 2:46:34 earlier this year). Watch out for her in 2016!!

Coach Arrick: Beer Mile CHAMPION!

Drink a beer. Run a quarter.  Repeat 4 times.  Arrick did this in 6 minutes, 42 seconds to win the Gotta Tri Beer Mile in Suprise, AZ.

Todd Barclay is an IRONMAN!

Todd completed his first Ironman in Tempe, Arizona on an unseasonably cold, wet day.  A year ago, this was a pipe dream for Todd, but he Todd committed to the training, focused on the goal (finishing Ironman) and stayed dedicated to the plan.  It paid off...Todd swam 1:56, biked 6:20, and ran 6:58 to finish in 15:42.  Great job on your first Ironman! 

R2R2R 2015: SUCCESS!

What an EPIC DAY!!!  Arrick hammered out the entire R2R2R trail (45 miles with 10,978 feet elevation gain) in 9 hours, 24 minutes.  Joe provided support and had a mini-EPIC day of his own with 20 miles of trails.  As we ran, we planned the 2016 ECo R2R2R EPIC EVENT.  Stay tuned for details!

Casey finishes first Ironman in 12:43!

Casey Schnack executed a solid race. She swam the 3rd fastest female swim in 1:02, biked 5:56, and ran 5:33 to finish in 12:43:29.  Below is her race report:

 

Joe joins advisory board at Nutroganics

Joe Company joined the advisory board at Nutroganics.

Joe joins the Nutrogenics team as a key player in advising, developing, and marketing Nutroganics's new endurance sports nutrition product line, TEMPO.

They are doing things right... Joe has already collaborated with experts in a variety of fields (marketing, coaching, nutraceuticals, industry, sports science, etc.) to create products like nothing you have seen in the endurance sports nutrition space.
 

3 Ironman Louisville finishers!

Kelly Ruiter finisher her FIRST Ironman with a smile on her face almost the entire way! Kelly swam 1:13, biked 6:14, and ran 4:28 to finish in 12:19.
