If you are interested in taking your athletic performance to the next level - whether that next level is beginning a training program for the first time, improving your personal best time, winning your age group, or turning professional - you came to the right place.

Joe Company, PhD founded ECo in 2010, but prior to this he coached at the high school and collegiate level, worked with Olympic training programs, and worked with a number of high-performance athletes, scientists, researchers, and coaches.  Joe began consulting endurance athletes in 2002, but as he evolved in his education and experience, he wanted to make his expertise available to more people.  ECo is the product of Joe's experience.

Endurance Company coaches and partners are carefully selected to provide quality coaching, teaching, information, and advice. All ECo coaches provide a valuable combination of education, practical experience, and knowledge in Joe's training philosophies.  Endurance Company coaches apply these key principles to provide unparalleled, customized training programs for all abilities of athletes.

Our mission is make your training and racing experience as rewarding as possible. The goal is to help you become a healthy, successful, complete athlete by providing a training plan that helps you reach your goals while maintaining balance in your life.

In addition to custom training plans, we offer laboratory bike and run VO2max and lactate testing as well as 'field testing' for bike power. These tests allow unparalleled optimization of your training plan.

It is time to take the guesswork out of your training!

Quincy Camp Information

WHAT:    A 3-day training camp for multisport athletes.  The ideal athlete is somebody with some multisport experience who is training for a longer-distance triathlon (Olympic distance triathlon or longer).  You don’t have to be ‘fast’ or ‘slow’.  You just need to be willing to have fun, learn, and work hard.  Note the activities we are planning and make sure you are capable of handling this type of volume.

WHEN:    Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, May 24-26, 2014

WHERE:  The camp begins in Hannibal, MO Saturday morning but settles in Quincy, IL Saturday evening through Monday.

COST:     The cost for TEAM ECo members is $100.

Family participants of TEAM ECo members is $150

                Non-TEAM ECo members is $200.

You are responsible for the following things:

  1. Getting yourself to and from the training weekend
  2. Food for the bike rides
  3. Meals
  4. Hotels

You are welcome to join for just part of the camp or one ride if you want.

One-day cost is: $40 for TEAM ECo members and $80 for non-TEAMs ECO members.

The swim clinic is led by Mike Moffitt, head swim coach of the Sheridan Swim Team and Level 3 ASCA swim coach with 16 years of coaching experience.

The camp itinerary is below.

Saturday

10:00 a.m.: BIKE RIDE (~80 MILES)

HANNIBAL, MO.  Hannibal - Louisiana bike ride. Approximately 75 miles but out and back so riders could turn back. This ride has over 5000 feet of climbing. There will be sag, but you are still responsible to bring food and water for yourself.  There are limited stores along the way where you can reload calories and hydration.

We will meet and begin the ride from a parking lot on the corner of N. Main St and Mill St, Hannibal, MO at 10:00 a.m. (1 block east off of Route 79/36).     The turnaround is in Louisiana, MO.  We will discuss if/when/where we will potentially eat lunch as a group before returning to Hannibal, but since there will be varying levels of riders, it may make sense to eat with the group you are riding with – but we can discuss this before the ride.

The ride is over 3200 feet of climbing and people need to be prepared with adequate nutrition and hydration.  We recommend 2 water bottles and your choice of calories for the first half of the ride.  We will eat lunch and refill at a gas station in Louisiana.
