Joe Company, PhD founded ECo in 2010, but prior to this he coached at the high school and collegiate level, worked with Olympic training programs, and worked with a number of high-performance athletes, scientists, researchers, and coaches.  Joe began consulting endurance athletes in 2002, but as he evolved in his education and experience, he wanted to make his expertise available to more people.  ECo is the product of Joe's experience.

Columbia, MO Rev3 Branson Training Program

Rev3 Branson Half and Olympic 12-week Training Program
July 1 – September 22

Informative Meeting:  Tuesday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m. at
Optimus: The Center for Health. 200 Southampton Drive, Columbia, MO

• The purpose of this 12 weeks training program is to prepare you for the Rev3 Branson half iron distance triathlon or the Rev3 Branson Olympic distance triathlon. 

• The training program is written by Joe Company and will be individually adjusted to meet your ability level and goals and is appropriate for athletes of all abilities and levels of experience.  

• While the overall goal is to have fun and enjoy training, this training program is intended to help you work hard, improve your fitness, and get you to the starting line in peak form on September 22.

• There are two levels of training programs, the “standard” and the “premium.”  Details are below:


• 12-week training program customized to your schedule and goals

• 1 coached swim per week

o This swim will take place on Tuesday mornings at 6:00 a.m. at Macher Aquatic Center, 3015 Chinaberry Drive, Columbia, MO.  In case of bad weather, the workout will be moved to Macher Swim School, 2004 Corporate Place, Columbia, MO
The swims will be coached by Joanne Macher with workouts written by Joe Company and Joanne Macher

• 1 coached bike or run per week

o These workouts will take place on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. 
o The workouts will alternate between bike and run workouts each week. 
o The location will change each week depending on the workout. 
o All Wednesday evening workouts will be coached in person by Joe Company.

• Discount on one of two Branson Training Weekend Camps (either August 16-18 or September 6-8)

PRICE:  $449 for 12 weeks (this converts to $37.42 per week for a training plan and 2 coached sessions).

Ask about DISCOUNTED RATES if you are a member of Columbia Multisport Club,Mizzou Tri Club, Optimus, or Macher’s.

Current ECo athletes are eligible to attend the swim and coached bike/run workouts free of charge. 


THE PREMIUM PROGRAM INCLUDES all of the “standard” program opportunities plus:
 Two coached sessions per week at Optimus (Wednesdays and Fridays, 6:15-7:00 a.m.)

o Both of these sessions will be led  by Joe Company
o Both of these sessions focus on functional strength exercises designed to engage muscles necessary for triathlon performance, core work, swim technique drills, bike technique drills, run technique drills, plyometric work, and stretching.

• Entry into one of two Branson Training Weekend Camps (Either August 16-18 or September 6-8).

PRICE:  $649 for 12 weeks (this converts to $54.09 per week for a training plan, 4 coached sessions, and entry into one of two Branson Training Weekends).
